Game of Thrones and Aquaman star Jason Momoa has announced his brand-new TV project, but rather than being a drama he’s acting in, it’s a reality competition show.
The Climb will focus on a group of amateur rock climbers as they undergo eight episodes of gruelling challenges across the world, with the title of World’s Best Amateur Rock Climber as the prize (there might be some money involved too, we’re not entirely sure at this point).
Momoa will executive produce the show for HBO Max alongside professional rock climbing legend Chris Sharma.

The actor, as quoted in Deadline, stated: “It’s a dream come true to create a show with one of my idols, my good friend and legendary climber Chris Sharma. I’m thrilled to be partnering with HBO Max and to produce alongside IPC to bring you this incredible show about my favorite sport, rock climbing.”
This news comes on the week that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom started filming in London. The star teased the beginning of shooting by stating that his hair was going blond.
Meanwhile, he’s also going to be returning to his post-apocalyptic Apple TV+ series See, as it was announced just last month that a third season had been greenlit.
Where does he find the time?
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom currently has a release date of December 16, 2022.
